    Default child support

I do not want to go back to court. I do not want him served papers. He has 30,000 in arrears and now has deceided to pay the 150 a week he owes from the orgininal order. Can I go to the clerk of court and have the arrearage collected. Another attorney told me to wait the 5 years until my daughter is 18 and have her sue her father for it. or pay him $8000 up front and redo the entire child supporticon agreement based on his current salary which would net more $ not the arrears. Question 1 can I go to the clerk of court myself and ask for a modificationicon in the amount they are collecting for arrears since it is significantly more? as obviously laywer fees are a big issue and I do not want to face this man in court again. Is there any way to get the arrears? That is all I want. He just resceived a settlement of $50,000 and brings home $2500 a week he has the money but will not voluntarily give any additional or even half of the expenses as ordered.

Sorry, but the clerk of court will not go after arrears. The Florida Dept of Revenue might. Your best bet is through a private attorney.

Department of Revenue has stated they do not do that. It is my responsibility and to ask him to volunteer the arrears. I received the same response from third party agencies that collect child supporticon as well.

If he has assets, an attorney may consider some sort of contingency arrangement.
