    Default serious child support question

I am divorced several years and am about to realize a substantial capital gain from the sale of my business. The business was started AFTER the divorce. I have 50/50 custody of the children (10 and 7), but still pay $1,000 per month per child in child supporticon. In addition, I pay all the children's expenses: private school tuition, healthcare, activities, uniforms, etc. My ex wife receives substantial alimonyicon that will end in April of 2012.

My question is the following: is the one-time capital gain income I make this year going to allow her to file for additional child support? It is not recurring, but will be substantial (>$5 million) and I really don't think she should get any increase, especially given that I take care of all the expenses of the children.

If she is entitled to come back for more child support, how much approximately is she entitled to? My ex wife already lives a substantial lifestyle and has some income herself (<$100,000).

Any help you can give is appreciated!

    Thank you.

I do not believe your capital gain is income that can be used for support modificationicon.
