    Default grandchildren taken out of state

    My daughter-in-law left in the middle of the night with my grandchildren from florida to indiana, she will not contact us or our son. There is no filing for dissolution of marriage, can he legally go get them and bring them back to florida, they have been residents of florida for 5 years.

    Yes. But the most effective thing to do would be to file for divorce and then attempt to force the children back.

    Thank you for the advice, we really are concerned, since the mother does have an abuse problem.
