Exclamation Wedding Date set but divorce is delayed...

Hello, my mom has been dating a gentleman for the last 4 years who has been seperated with contact from spouse or knowledge of whereabouts for over 20+ years. My mother and this man fell in love and decided to get married. I assisted him in completing all paperwork to file his simple divorce (never shared property, assets or produced children) last month. He submitted the necessary add in our local paper and received his notice of non response today. He promptly file this in court today to get his scheduled court date (since we were told that after the filing the court date would be swift), since we scheduled their wedding 11-11-11!! He was told today that he would get a court date in 60-90 days!!!!!!! Is there ANYway to spped this up or pay to get it processed quicker. We are in a state of panic and plane tickets have been purchased!!! Any assistance would be most appreciated.

    Sincerely,

The best way to have control over scheduling is to use a private attorney. Otherwise, you just have to wait until the internal mechanisms of the courthouse push the case forward.
