My ex is taking me to court to have my alimonymodified. Will the courts hold it against me and rule in his favor if I had to file for bankruptcy???I was given alimony and my share of his retirement via a QDRO,plus worked some when the divorce was finalized. Now that the ex has retired,he is stating he isn't getting enough in retirement to pay me my alimony, and that I am getting a few hundred dollars more in retirement than what he was giving me in alimony(I EARNED NOT HE IS GIVING ME). How can I fight for what I was given if I believe the judge
will rule for him since he is ex law enforcement. He retired early he has about 11 more years to go before he could retire for his age...He is trying to say the place he worked told him to retire or they would fire him and that is his un forseeable circumstance for retiring....I need to see the light at the end of the tunnel for myself...He remarried 3 days after our divorce was final and he now is a minister of a church full time....Is there any help for me?
