Default i have not seen my child for 6 months and my childs mother is now sending me to court

its been six months i have not seen my one year old. The mother of my child does not allow me to see my child often because she does not like my wife and doesnt want my wife around the child. I have not ever paid child supporticon. Today i recieved a letter in the mail with a court hearing. I do not mind paying child support but find it unfair and not right that my child can not spend time with me because his mother doesnt like my wife. my wife has never ever seen or met my kid because of this. there is no reason for her to not like my wife. The mother of my child belittles me and is very rude to me in front of the child, fortunate for him he is too young to know but i do know this will be an issue in the future. The mother of my child has also threated my wife while she was pregnant and caused her much stress causing her to lose my child. what am i to look forward to on the court date? what can i do

I can only guess because I have not seen your court documents.

You did not say the mother is your ex, so I assume the child was born out of wedlock. If I am right, you probably have a child supporticon hearing that is being conducted by the Dept of Revenue. If so, you can expect ongoing child support based on your income and up to 24 months of built up arrears (24 mo prior to filing).

You still have a support obligation even if you are not allowed to see the child.

This particular court does not want to hear about parentingicon time and schedules. You will need to file a Paternity case to establish your rights. In the end, you will have enforceable time with your child.
