Default Which State Do I File In?

I have been married for 14 years..as of today. I want to file for divorce. He lives in Florida and we spent the majority of our marriage in Florida (from 2001-2009 I resided there as well with him). I left him in June of 2009 and we have been seperated ever since. I have resided in Delaware since then. In which state should I file? I would like to file for alimonyicon and child supporticon for our two children as well. I have been getting an agreed upon amount from my spouse since I left in 2009 for child support but it is less than the Calculatoricon awards. I just want to make sure that I am not required to file in Florida since most of our marriage we resided there.

If your children have not resided in Florida recently, you will not be able to get any orders on children's issues or child supporticon in a Florida court.

Jurisdictional issues are complex. Your first step would be to consult a local attorney and discuss jurisdiction.
