What Now...

I had filed for divorce on sept. 2010 it was contested, ie( for child support & alimony) seperated for 4 years prior filing for divorce... So, we attended mediation and no resolution, impasse... Was waiting for a court date and the case was before Hon. Smith who retired.. and we were waiting for a court date and judge to finalized this matter. However on Aug 29 2011 my so to be ex wife was in a horrible car accident and had a major head injury. She was in ICU for a month 1/2 and sustainded an major trauma... now she is in a Rehab nursing facility. Dr.'s informed that the injury was so servere that she will be mentally incompetent. Now what is going to happen with the divorce.. I research info soem say it should go foward some say i have to wait an additonal 3yrs... i'm at a lost any ideas.. Thanks

You can still get a divorce. But your spouse may need the appointment of a guardian to represent her interests.
