Arrow I have a tax question.

My ex has not paid child supporticon in over a year. On our divorce papers we agreed to share custody of our 2 boys. Which means he can claim a child and I can claim a child. Being he hasn't paid his child support in over a year would i be in contempt if I claim both boys on my taxes this year being he has not paid on the child support. I really need some help in this matter, I do not want to get in trouble.

Many final judgments contain specific provisions on that issue. Quite a few also reference delinquent support payments, and and their effect on tax exemptions. I suggest you read your final decree and/or marital settlement agreement.
