Default Child support calculator - Net vs. Gross income info - Modification of child support

The present child supporticon (CS) payments include payment for CS, day care and health insurance for two kids. The calculations were made prior to the requirement to break down the amounts for each item and for each child. Since the kids are now in school the day care portion is no longer required. Additionally, along the years there have been changes to the insurance premiums and the income for both parents. I would like to get an estimate on what the new CS payments would be before I go to an attorney for modificationicon procedures.

The only info I have is the gross income and the insurance premiums. The problem is that all the CS calculators that I have been able to find online (including yours) ask for the net income and not the gross income.

Would I be correct in assuming that net income is the gross income less federal taxes, FICA and MICA? Does Florida law recognize any other deductions that would reduce the net income? Is there a certain percentage that could be used to "estimate" the net income for preliminary calculations?

    Thank you.
