    Unhappy Help please

Me and My husband living separately since Feb 2008 and the last time he saw my daughter is in Aug 2008 (in India). So far he never cared about her and he never paid attention to know which school she is going, how she is doing and what are her interests. Now I received an email from my husband saying that he filed for divorce and he wants me to talk to his Attorney and also he wants my daughter School, Day care and Residential address. I don't know why he is asking me to contact his attorney and why he need the rest of the information, which he did not, cared about that in past.

I emailed him back and asked him to tell me the reason why he wants to know my daughter's details and then he replied back to me saying that "it is irrelevant for you why I need that information if you don't want to give say that you don't want to give. I wanted to clearly tell you that by doing this nothing you will achieve, rather you may loose."

I don't know what to do and also I am worried that he may take my daughter from me.

    Please help me.

If he ignored his daughter for nearly a year, it is highly unlikely she will end up living primarily with him.

You really need to discuss this in private with an attorney. Meanwhile, I would not communicate with your husband's attorney. There will be no upside to that sort of contact.

    Thank You.

    I have another question.

I came to know that, my husband moved all money (forty five thousand dollars to India) and assets (which is India) on his brother’s name. What should I do? He did this in 10/08 and I filed for divorce in 01/09. Could you please advice me, how should I proceed.

    I really appreciate you help.

You must file discovery requests for bank statements from that period. They will show the money being pulled out of the account.
