    Default Please help. Child custody

I was wondering if you could help me.
I am in the middle of a divorce. We started to have the paperwork drawn up through a mediator. The child visitation schedule will be written to say that he has our 4 year old child on Wednesday evenings and every other weekend. He is supposed to pick the child up from school Wed evening then drop the child off at school Thursday morning. Same goes for his weekend, he picks the child up from school Friday evening and drops the child back off at school Monday morning.
My questing is: I am thinking about moving about 2.5 hours away and I have not told my X-husband about it yet. I am worried what kind of legal impact this will have. The child is not currently in school, but I was planning on putting the child in school at this new location that is 2.5 hours from where the father is living, but again I have not told the father.
I am trying to decide if I should continue to have the mediator draw up the paperwork as agreed then hit him with the move after the visitation is signed.
I am scared to tell him about the move before it is signed because I am worried he will try legal actions to either try to get full custody or not let me go.
How do you think I should handle this?
    Thanks!

    You have two choices:

    1. Discuss this with your spouse and include it in the mediation agreement.

    2. Wait until your case is over and seek permission of the court to relocate.

You cannot relocate in the manner you suggest. It will end up with a court order changing the residence of the children. There is a prohibition on relocation written within the Florida Statutes.
