Play it safe and get it taken care of in court, you will be glad you did.
my husband and i are getting a divorce. we have been together for 10 years and married for 6 years 8 months. we have about 4.5 million in property, all obtained during our marriage. is florida a 50/50 split state? the husband seems to think that because it was his money that purchased the properties, that it will not be 50/50. i have offered to take 750,000 and maybe alimonyfor a year or two. is this really stupid of me?
i am afraid that the judge
will give me less than 750,000 if i fight this matter. the husband seems to think that amount is ok with him...but duh?? would he like to give me 2.25 million? any legal help is appreciated. i have not gone to a lawyer yet, because this all happened in the last two days.

It is true that prior marital money used to purchased properties can make that property non-marital.
There is enough money at stake here for you to get a thorough legal consult. Do not base your decision on a quick answer in a forum such as this.
