    Question child support

We adopted a child from foster care through the State of FL. We receive an adoption subsidy each month for the child. How is this figured into the child supporticon. Is it added to my income if I receive it or is this even added to income at all since we don't claim it as income on our tax return?

First .... why are you getting child supporticon? From who?

    Default child support

I am in the process of possibly getting divorced and I want to know how they handle this adoption subsidy when it comes to child supporticon. Will my husband end up paying less child support, because I would get this monthly subsidy from the State? How does it get figured in when the calculation is done to determine what the child support will be for him?

    Default child support

My husband and I are going to get divorced. I am trying to figure out if the money we receive monthly for our daughter's adoption subsidy through the state of fl is added to my income if I have custody when the child supporticon is calculated? We do not have to claim it as income when we do our taxes.

    I am not sure

My gut feeling is this will be treated similar to SSDI received directly by a child. It will be credited against child supporticon and have the effect of lowering the amount.
