    Default Help

Hope you can help. I am writing this for my disabled son.

Son has run out of money to fund his divorce. They had been to mediation and 2 days later wife was fired from her job. Her lawyer has now filed a motion to have her child supporticon reduced.

Problem is that on the court docket it says that my son's lawyer will be representing him but they say unless he can come up with more money they will not be attending the hearing.

Do they (his lawyer)have to file a motion to end their representation?

What will happen if he doesn't file a motion to dismiss them (the lawyer)?

Will the judgeicon just issue a continuance?

She has only made one child support payment and also is in arrears for tax money she owes him.

Do you think the judge will reduce the support? We believe she was fired for misconduct and so far hasn't been able to collect unemployment.

    Thanks for all your help.

They must file a motion, attend a hearing, and get an order allowing them to withdraw. If they simply don't show up at a meeting - that is a violation of Bar rules.

They will still be on the case.

Depends on the judge and whether you ask for it.

There is not enough info here to answer this.
