Child support

Hi,

My fiance has been paying child support regularly for a couple years. We have come across a rumor and would like some clarification.

Since my fiances' ex is now engaged and has been living with that person for the past 3 years (the whole time since divorce) - and this person has taken on a "father" role to my stepson, does my fiance still need to pay child support? Or can the child support be lowered? Both people in that household are currently working steady, well paying jobs.

In the divorce, my fiance is the NCP and only has his son on the weekends during the school year and 60% during the summer.

The short answer: that will not be relevant on the issue of child support.

Child support is strictly based on the income of the parents.
