Default Filing for Divorce when spouse is missing.

I have been seperated from my wife for over two years. We both left and went our seperate ways. She left the state and I stayed. I am finally financially stable again and want to file for divorce. I have tried to locate my ex but no one seems to know where she is. How do I file for divorce if i don't know where the other party is? We have no property, no kids, and no assets.

You must file with a method called "constructive service." It involves placing a classified legal ad in a local publication for 4 weeks - only after you unsuccessfully search for your spouse. You may want to take advantage of your "paperwork - only service ($575)

Otherwise you can find self-help forms at the courthouse or at Florida State Courts
