    Question Child Support Question

I filed for a final hearing for dissolution of marraige. (Florida) I got order to contact mediation. However, we agreed and signed a parentingicon Plan. I have a question when it comes to child supporticon, because of our situation.

Custody would be Shared with rotating weeks. How would child support come into play this way?

I am concerned because he is currently seeking employment and I was only working 10 hours a week, but recently lost that due to the economy. Doing odd jobs to stay afloat right now. Anyway, regardless of the current situation...my main question is does one or the other parent have to pay child support? Since we have kids 50/50, can we just be financially responsible for them during our times of custody? It seems a bit hard to explain this question, but hopefully someone can give me some tips and also how I would present that to the courts. We are each doing this Pro Se and have been fine figuring it out up till this issue.

I also have the issue that kids are on medicaid, so don't know how that works when it comes to health care services. (cause when a person applies for medicaid for kids, DCF, makes that parent go to child support enforcement)

If any clarification is needed (probably will be) before answering. Please let me know.

If either parent has the children more than 146 overnights per year - child supporticon is calculated by an alternate formula called the "gross-up" method. The net effect is the total support is drastically lower.

If both parents earn approx equal income - there will be zero support in a rotating custody arrangement. The courts are wll aware of this principle.
