    Default Subpoena

I've filed for divorce from my husband of 20 years. We have three minor children and I need my sister to appear in court to bolster my claims of physical abuse. Her employer won't allow her time off to appear without a simple letter requesting her to appear, which my lawyer's unwilling to write,or a subpoena, which I don't know how much it will cost. Can I issue a subpoena myself and pay only the court fees and how much are those fees typically? Please help... Thank you.

I am surprised your lawyer wont issue a subpeona.

The clerk of court will prepare one for a small fee - I believe 20. You dont need to have it served if she just needs it for work.
