Just got the results of a very detailed, very long hearing on a Prenup. I prepared long and prepared hard. I reallllly wanted to win - not just because winning can be fun, but because I am especially interested in prenups. Waited six weeks for the court order to appear (yes, six weeks!!). It is always sweet to work that hard, wait that long, and then open up the mail and see the good results. Ending a really long day and being tired never felt so good.![]()

I recently accepted an appointment as a Guardian Ad Litem. That is a person, appointed by the Court, that helps bring helpful information about minor children to the Court's attention. In other words, I don't work for either parent - I work for the child(ren) and the Court. In many jurisdictions, attorneys accept appointments a volunteer Guardian Ad Litems in high-conflict cases. Those are the cases that are particularly harmful to children.
