Woods divorce finalized

The divorce between adulterous golfer, Tiger Woods, and his wife, Elin Nordegren, was finalized at a Florida courthouse this week.

The separated spouses were both present at the Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Florida for the ten-minute hearing, in which Judge Judy Biebel officially ended their "irretrievably broken" marriage.

The cost of the divorce itself was $397.50, but the settlement between the pair is thought to have cost Woods at least $100 million, after a prenuptial was renegotiated in the wake of his out-of-control philandering.

Sources say that 30-year-old Nordegren could have pushed for a much larger slice of his estimate enormous fortune, but chose not to in order to avoid a messy, drawn-out court battle.

Exact details of the settlement have not been revealed, but it is thought the primary negotiations surrounded the custody of their two children, Sam, 3, and Charlie, 18 months. It is believed they will live primarily with Miss Nordegren, who may return to her native Sweden, but Woods will have regular access. She will keep the waterfront estate where the family lived before the scandal and also has her own home in Sweden.

Though the couple did not acknowledge each other in the courtroom, they are said to be on good speaking terms for the sake of their children and reportedly even flew to the courthouse together from Orlando on the same private jet.
