Permanence of Child's Home and Custody Cases

The questions that will come up in court are:

Are there plans in place to move soon after custody is granted?

Is the home going to be sold, condemned, given away, or affected in some way where the family will not be able to live there?

A stable, permanent home is always more desirable than an unstable, temporary home.  Be prepared to show that your home is stable.

The Bottom line:  the preference of the court is for continuity.  In other words, if the child has been living a stable life, the parent that will continue the stable life has the inside track on custody.
