CASA’s Visitation Centers in St Petersburg provide children with an opportunity to visit a non-residential parent who has been estranged from the child due to separation or divorce. CASA’s supervised visits and monitored exchanges provide safety with a special focus on the needs of children from homes where violence, substance abuse and mental health problems occur. Participants are accepted via referrals from the Family, Domestic Violence and Dependency courts.  This resource can be used for St Pete divorce parties as well as anyone in Pinellas County Florida.

 

Parenting Course Providers for St Petersburg:

If you are going through a divorce in St Pete or Pinellas County, and you have minor children or if you are involved in a paternity action where custody and/or visitation are being addressed, you must complete a Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course. Your divorce lawyer will normally advise you to take this course as soon as possible. Florida Statute §61.21, the Florida law on divorce, custody, and parenting requires you to attend an approved, four (4) hour class in-person. Each parent must take and complete the course before the Court will grant the divorce.

The St Petersburg Divorce Court  REQUIRES parents to attend an in-person class
• You cannot take an online class unless you receive a “Personal Attendance Waiver” from the Judge
