    Default Owed alimony/child support

My Ex has an attorney,ex is behind in all support..his attorney had him send a check for the owed child supporticon but not the owed alimonyicon. He owes me approximately 5000.00 in back alimony.I was awarded permanent periodic alimony. Why wouldn't his attorney tell him to pay his back alimony also? Is there a catch to the attorney doing that?Thank You for your answer in advance....

Sorry but there is not enough info. There could be a variety of reasons.

    Default Owed alimony/child support

That is all the info I have...I was awarded permanent periodic alimonyicon,he stopped paying all support on his own. He retired at 55 so he could stop paying alimony. He remarried 3 days after our divorce was final, and she doesn't want him paying alimony....I had 28 + years invested..And his attorney had him send the child supporticon but not the 5k he owes in back alimony....Thanks

You need to file a Motion for Contempt/Enforcement as to the non-payment of alimonyicon. He cannot unilaterally make the decision to stop paying alimony. He would have to file a Supplemental Petition to Modify and state a substantial change in circumstance. You would have a hearing on that.
